The foundational principles of yoga celebrate unity and equality. Yoga literally means union.

Through yoga, we discover how interconnected we all are while allowing us to celebrate our uniqueness and incredible differences that make us each extraordinary individuals.

We are radiant parts of an interconnected whole.

The practices of yoga seek to free us all from fear and oppression; to heal the rifts that make us perceive differences, hierarchy, and separation. When separation exists within any of us, none of us is free.

Here, at The Kaivalya Yoga Method® Academy and throughout AlannaK.com, we fiercely stand behind these core principles and values.

We aim to do what we can to promote unity, acceptance, and support for all people, including our diverse community members.

Our main goal is to train spiritual leaders and to empower yoga teachers to recognize and more fully step into their spiritual leadership to support their students, clients, and the wider community.

We want to do our part to ensure spiritual leaders from diverse backgrounds have the tools they need to educate, support, heal, transform, and empower others.

Every month, we offer a 50% scholarship for our 200-Hour Yoga Teacher Training Program to a new member of each of these five communities:

BIPOC - LGBTQIA+ - Veterans - Disabled Persons - Survivors of Abuse

All applications are due by the 15th of each month. Any application that is received after the 15th will be considered the following month. You will be notified via email about the status of your application by the end of each month.

It is our hope that not only may we uplift each other with the work that we do, but that we can signal to the wider world how important it is to provide spiritual leadership to everyone regardless of color, creed, sexual orientation, economic background, ability, or status.

We all deserve to be heard. We all deserve to be supported.

This is one small way we choose to show our solidarity with our BIPOC, LGBTQIA+, disabled, veteran, and survivor community members

Yes. It is a requirement that everyone submits a video. Our online teaching program uses YouTube. However, you can have a YouTube account where you can upload private videos that are password protected (Below are the easy steps to upload a private video). If you are uncomfortable with this process, then perhaps at this time, this program is not a match for you. For our friends who are survivors of abuse, we only want to meet you and learn why you want to participate in this program. We want to create a safe space for you so there is no need to share anything you do not feel comfortable sharing.
